We are happy to invite you to visit Finland and participate at Laser Helsinki 2010 International Congress. This meeting is dedicated to various fields of laser medicine and research, medical laser technology, phototherapy and photobiology.

Keynote speakers are Zhores Alferov (Russia), the winner of 2000 Nobel Prize in Physics, Academician, Vice President of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and Juri Vladimirov (Russia), Academician of Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, Professor.

Main topics of the congress are: update of basic research and clinical experience of laser therapy and photodynamic therapy of different diseases and conditions, laser application in surgery and aesthetic medicine, lasers in veterinary medicine, laser acupuncture, laser vs. LED therapy, etc. Topics how to combine laser therapy with LED therapy, electric and magnetic stimulation, as well as with the correct diet and food supplement application will be also presented.

Simultaneous translation from Russian to English, Finnish and back during the Congress will break language barrier and will significantly improve communication between professionals from different countries.

Abstracts of the congress will be published in a supplement to the journal “Photodiagnosis and Photodynamic Therapy”, published by Elsevier.

Laser Helsinki 2010 Congress will take place in Paasitorni Congress Centre. It is a unique congress and conference complex in the heart of Helsinki and also an outstanding example of art nouveau architecture.

Only limited number of single rooms is availably in hotels in central part of Helsinki. Single rooms are available in Sokos Hotel Vaakuna at 145,99 Euro per night and Sokos Hotel at 179,30 Euro per night. Please contact Organizing Committee for hotel reservations or make reservation by yourself.

Organizing committee of Laser Helsinki 2010 welcomes articles from a wide range of laser related medical disciplines, including laser biomedical research, clinical trials, newest development in laser technologies. Presentation should be no more that 15 minutes in length.

Zhores Alferov, the winner of 2000 Nobel Prize in Physics, officially accepted invitation to participate at the Laser Helsinki 2010 Congress.

Zhores Alferov is a Russian physicist and academician, Vice President of the Russian Academy of Sciences. He contributed significantly to the creation of modern heterostructure physics and electronics. He is an inventor of the heterotransistor and the winner of 2000 Nobel Prize in Physics. He is also a Russian politician and has been a member of the Russian State Parliament, the Duma, since 1995. Lately, he has become one of the most influential members of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation.
